So here we are.
But where is here?
I play with space: where its found between bodies, when it becomes "place," how property laws become narratives of safety and belonging. My creative practice is guided by a curiosity towards the relationship between the self (ego) and space (geo) as negotiated in specific moments of time. Aesthetically I like making maps and conceptually I like breaking them. I use processes of painting, collage, performative geographic research, collaborations, and migration to investigate systems that structure micro and macro cosmic realities.
Yet, my most important creation - who simultaneously creates me - is the young person who periodically appears on this site.
